​Jennifer E. Smith, Ph.D. ("Jenn"/she/her/hers) is an Associate Professor in the Biology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and leads the Long-term Behavioral Ecology of California Ground Squirrels Project at Briones Regional Park with Dr. Sonja Wild at UC-Davis. Smith is an Associate Editor for Animal Behaviour & Leadership Quarterly and on the Editorial Board of Phil Trans Royal Society B. Smith taught at Mills College prior to its closure in Summer 2022 as an independent and historically-inclusive Hispanic-serving college for women and non-binary undergraduates in Oakland, California.
