​Jennifer E. Smith, Ph.D. ("Jenn"/she/her/hers) is an Associate Professor in the Biology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and leads the Long-term Behavioral Ecology of California Ground Squirrels Project at Briones Regional Park with Dr. Sonja Wild at UC-Davis. Smith is an Associate Editor for Animal Behaviour & Leadership Quarterly and serves on the Editorial Board of Phil. Trans. Royal Society B. Smith taught at Mills College before its closure in Summer 2022 as an independent and historically inclusive Hispanic-serving college for women and non-binary undergraduates in Oakland, California.
